ABIGAIL HESS is a self-taught, American visual artist who specializes in illustration and storytelling. Being homeschooled since eighth through twelfth grade, she found her art teachers through a variety of artists’ videos on the internet. She is a recipient of the Windgate Scholarship. Her preferred medium is ink for best completing her style of comic like characters. Themes that she repeatedly incorporates in her artworks are independence, conflicting feelings, and fantasy. Currently, Abigail is working on an eight-yard drawing illustrating the effects of dissociation and ADHD. She is an active full-time student at the University of Central Arkansas where she is studying art as a Bachelor of Fine Arts student with an emphasis in illustration and drawing. As she has drawn for all of her life as a hobby, she plans to make this hobby into a life-time career.
